 Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7 1998) also known as MrBeast is an American YouTube star, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. The YouTube personality has been credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that focus on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. At 13 years old, Donaldson began uploading YouTube videos with the name "MrBeast6000". His first content included Let's Plays and videos that estimated other YouTubers' wealth. The channel went viral in the year 2017 following his "counting up to 100,000" video racked up millions of views in just a couple of days, and he has grown in popularity since then, with many of his videos earning tens of millions of views.Over time the style of his content has changed to include challenge and donation videos that reward thousands of dollars, videos with difficult tasks or challenges to survive and original videos. Donaldson hired many of his former classmates as helpers to run his growing channel. The MrBeast channel had 60 subscribers in 2022. It reached 100 million subscribers on the 28th of July 2022.
